PolySwitch line-voltage rated (LVR) devices help protect electric motors and transformers used in commercial home appliances from damage caused by mechanical overloads, overheating, stall, lost neutral, and other potentially harmful conditions.

The LVR series PPTC (polymeric positive temperature coefficient)devices are rated at 240VAC, permitting maximum voltages of up to 265VAC, and are available in hold currents from 50 to550mA.

The LVR series extends the proven PolySwitch technology of resettable over-current protection into higher voltage applications. When installed in proximity to potential heat generating components such as magnetics, FETs, or power resistors, the thermally active devices can help protect against both over-current and over-temperature faults in power sup-plies, transformers and control circuits.
